Joey Yoga: Bristol Birth Preparation & Babies Bedminster, The Southville Centre,  Trika Yoga

I have learned so much since attending Joey's pregnancy classes. Joey is very knowledgeable about pregnancy and has given me great advice and tips about preparing for labour. Joey is clearly very passionate about what she does. Her classes have a fun, happy welcoming vibe. I look forward to attending her post natal yoga classes soon. X

-Karen Lordan; second pregnancy

I joined Joey's yoga and birth prep classes at only 12 weeks along in my pregnancy. I was the smallest bump there and initially thought that starting so early was a little over the top! I'm now 37 weeks and I haven't regretted it one little bit - the knowledge, support and confidence I have gained through her classes has been invaluable. My partner and I went on to do the Hypnobirthing course with Joey and are now really looking forward to our birthing day. I can only put this down to all the knowledge we have gained. Joey has a lovely positive energy - amazing to be around on this special journey.

- Bronwyn Harvey; first pregnancy

At first I went to the pregnancy yoga classes jut expecting to learn a few stretches to help with the aches and pains, but what I soon learnt is that these classes are so much more than that. The community feel to the classes and workshop element changed my approach to pregnancy and labour in every way. Joey took away my fear helped me find confidence and empowerment.

Empowered pregnancy in Bristol

Pregnancy yoga works to create physical and emotional strength and relaxation, leaving you free to enjoy the amazing journey of your pregnancy and connect with your baby.

The fluid movements build space in the body, elasticity in the pelvic floor and help the body recover after birth. You will learn tools and techniques that bring a sense of calm to you and your baby, which can be used throughout pregnancy, as well as during the birthing process.

Pregnancy yoga is different from regular yoga, as poses are adapted to relieve common ailments, such as backache and swollen limbs. Classes are also a great way to meet other Mums-to-be, and can be a great bonding experience.

Antenatal classes are suitable for all expectant mothers from 12 weeks who wish to bring physical and emotional balance.
